Terms of service

This is confirmation that, as your wedding celebrant, I am committed to write and deliver your Wedding Ceremony on the confirmed date.

As the client, you have agreed to pay the non refundable deposit (or holding fee) of £100 and the remaining balance at least 3 months prior to the wedding day.

1. payment

Overall payment secures the following:

(a) Initial consultation in the client's chosen format of either face to face or by telephone/email

(b) Writing the first script based on initial meeting and the questionnaire

(c) Multiple Script Review Service (reasonably defined as up to 10 reviews)

(d) Presentation of the Wedding script upon completion of ceremony and within a reasonable amount of time

(e) Presentation of the Wedding blessing certificate upon completion of ceremony and within a reasonable amount of time.

(f) Complimentary Services: Ritual exploration and ideas

(g) Help with writing wedding vows

(h) Regular email and telephone contact throughout build up to ceremony day

2. timetable

When the deposit and couples questionnaire have been returned I will adhere to the following timetable:

(a) first draft within 6 weeks of receiving the questionnaire ;

(b) second draft within two weeks of your comments;

(c) the final script will be completed and printed 1 month before the wedding.

3. Securing your date

Once the deposit has been received I will not take another booking on the date of your ceremony unless you cancel.

4. cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the client;

(a) Up to 6 months before: The client does not need to pay any of the remaining balance

(b) Up to 3 months before: 50% of the remaining balance must be paid by the client as compensation charge

(c) Up to 1 month before: The client must pay the remaining balance in full.

In the rare occasion that I cannot attend the ceremony, due to extenuating circumstances, I will personally find another qualified and respected celebrant to deliver the ceremony, passing on all of your requirements.

5. Script

The script is copyrighted to Lucie Penn until the day of the ceremony at which point it is handed over to the Client and will not be used in future script writing activities.

Lucie Penn reserves the right to retain any material used in any ceremony script in order to use as an example script for other clients; however will not be duplicated.
