Why “The happy Celebrant?”
A few years ago I started volunteering at my local radio station in South West London and I hosted a show that was all about sharing happy stories from the community. I loved bringing something to our listeners that would cheer them up and remind them of things to smile about. That has evolved into hosting my own podcast called The Happy Report, a celebration of all the positive news stories that often get overlooked.
Why am I telling you this? Well, my decision to become a wedding celebrant is the merging of these two passions: my love of telling happy stories, and my obsession with weddings.
Being able to create amazing, quirky wedding ceremonies for couples is a dream come true. I love traditional ceremonies but helping couples think of some unexpected moments to throw in to make the day extra special really gets me (feeling emotional already!).
